I wanted to be sure to get some photos of the gorgeous colored trees before all the leaves fell to the ground so I took a drive through the arboretum and made a few stops.
It's tulip season again here in the Pacific Northwest. Being that tulips are my favorite flower, I love heading up north to Mount Vernon to see them in bloom.
We drove out past North Bend to Snoqualmie forest and hiked the Franklin Falls trail. It was only 2 miles into the forest to get to the falls but I wanted to quit multiple times and head back to the car. I was tired and my body ached from the weight of my depression.
I found myself focusing on the small patterns found in nature - particularly the moss growing all over. Bright and colorful amidst the death of winter. Here are some of my favorite shots from my attempt to walk it off.
