It's tulip season again here in the Pacific Northwest. Being that tulips are my favorite flower, I love heading up north to Mount Vernon to see them in bloom.
My spouse and I recently went to Disneyland for Halloween Time and I have to say that my biggest fear about the trip was that I would be too fat to fit in any of the rides and I would have to sit on the sidelines. Turns out that Disneyland is very fat friendly!
We drove out past North Bend to Snoqualmie forest and hiked the Franklin Falls trail. It was only 2 miles into the forest to get to the falls but I wanted to quit multiple times and head back to the car. I was tired and my body ached from the weight of my depression.
I found myself focusing on the small patterns found in nature - particularly the moss growing all over. Bright and colorful amidst the death of winter. Here are some of my favorite shots from my attempt to walk it off.
